The local joke is it always takes 45 minutes to get where you are going from where you are. It is impossible to not drive. I don't think the end of the burbs are going to happen within the next 50 years. There is very promising magnet technology, zero point energy out there. The problem is it's free. Until they can figure out a way to charge you it will not be mainstream. Some of my favorites show the power of the magnet. There is also new solar panel technology, much more efficient.
